Join Rabbanit Dr. Tamara Spitz each week as she reviews the key topics of the previous week’s seven pages.

This week we will review key concepts found in Daf 3-11 including: carrying, throwing, and walking from various domains on Shabbat.  We will define the 4 domains of Shabbat and learn about the structure of houses and marketplaces in Talmudic times. We will then learn Daf 10 in greater detail and discuss proper gift giving etiquette.  Did you know that Shabbat was a gift we received from G-d? Learn more about the divine gift of Shabbat.

Dr. Tamara Spitz

Rabbanit Dr. Tamara Spitz delivers the “Daf Yomi: One Week at a Time” series at WebYeshiva.org . She is the Rosh Beit Midrash and a Mashgicha Ruchanit at Midreshet Torah v'Avodah. She lectures on various topics including Daf Yomi, Gemara, Halacha, and Tefilah. Dr. Spitz has held academic and administrative positions at various Midrashot and served as the Jewish Studies Principal of Instituto Yavne, one of the main Jewish day schools of Montevideo, Uruguay. She also runs a Chiropractic practice specializing in Women’s Health in Gush Etzion and is a Hip-Hop dance teacher.
