Ketubot: 2-6 – Daf Yomi One Week at a Time

As we begin a new Masechet, we will review the concept of the Ketuva, its obligations, and its purpose. We will learn the proper day of the week for a wedding and why. We will also learn several fundamental concepts in the laws of Shabbat, as they pertain to a wedding performed on Friday.

Dr. Tamara Spitz

Rabbanit Dr. Tamara Spitz delivers the “Daf Yomi: One Week at a Time” series at WebYeshiva.org . She is the Rosh Beit Midrash and a Mashgicha Ruchanit at Midreshet Torah v'Avodah. She lectures on various topics including Daf Yomi, Gemara, Halacha, and Tefilah. Dr. Spitz has held academic and administrative positions at various Midrashot and served as the Jewish Studies Principal of Instituto Yavne, one of the main Jewish day schools of Montevideo, Uruguay. She also runs a Chiropractic practice specializing in Women’s Health in Gush Etzion and is a Hip-Hop dance teacher.
