Nedarim: 21-28 – Daf Yomi One Week at a Time

This week we will focus on four types of vows that are automatically void. These include vows meant to motivate someone to do something, vows that are exaggerated, unintentional vows, and vows whose consequences are out of our control. The Gemara explains and gives several examples for each type of vow.

Dr. Tamara Spitz

Rabbanit Dr. Tamara Spitz delivers the “Daf Yomi: One Week at a Time” series at WebYeshiva.org . She is the Rosh Beit Midrash and a Mashgicha Ruchanit at Midreshet Torah v'Avodah. She lectures on various topics including Daf Yomi, Gemara, Halacha, and Tefilah. Dr. Spitz has held academic and administrative positions at various Midrashot and served as the Jewish Studies Principal of Instituto Yavne, one of the main Jewish day schools of Montevideo, Uruguay. She also runs a Chiropractic practice specializing in Women’s Health in Gush Etzion and is a Hip-Hop dance teacher.
