Pesachim 57: The Kohanim Who Took the Lunch Money

NOTE: Tomorrow, we start a new chapter, for those who want to start dad yomi – or start again! ||

More on how peah isn’t relevant for vegetables. Also, the negative history of the kohanim, after corruption crept in. Several examples, including the way they became a disappointment, and worse. Plus, the archeology that backs the Gemara up. Also: 4 times that the Temple courtyard cried out… with a focus on specific stories of where the kohanim went wrong, as well as some comment on how other kohanim were good leaders. And the chapter ends with a backhanded plug for rabbinic authority, and the importance of learning Torah.
