Beitzah 2-6 – Daf Yomi: One Week at a Time

This Masechet will be dealing with laws pertaining to the Festivals. In particular, we will be learning about permissible food preparation on a Festival as opposed to Shabbat. The Masechet begin with a discussion about an egg that was laid on Shabbat and are we allowed to eat it or not. We will be learning many fundamental Talmudic concepts in this Masechet.

Dr. Tamara Spitz

Rabbanit Dr. Tamara Spitz delivers the “Daf Yomi: One Week at a Time” series at <a href=”https://www.webyeshiva.org/profile/?user=2595″ rel=”noreferrer noopener”>WebYeshiva.org</a> . She is the Rosh Beit Midrash and a Mashgicha Ruchanit at Midreshet Torah v’Avodah. She lectures on various topics including Daf Yomi, Gemara, Halacha, and Tefilah. Dr. Spitz has held academic and administrative positions at various Midrashot and served as the Jewish Studies Principal of Instituto Yavne, one of the main Jewish day schools of Montevideo, Uruguay. She also runs a Chiropractic practice specializing in Women’s Health in Gush Etzion and is a Hip-Hop dance teacher.
