In which all this talk of fruit brought the daf back to the Garden of Eden, to consider the nature of the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The grape vine establishes non-trees as a possibility, and the claim that wheat is a tree points to the grain as possessing the potential for mischief (we wonder how that affects the low-carb diet).
Plus – the flexibility or debated lack thereof for all blessings – and the expansive catch-all Shehakol blessing.
