This week we will continue discussing blemishes (mumim) that permit slaughtering a bechor, focusing on the tail, testicles, and genitals. We will then begin the seventh perek, which applies the same blemishes to a kohen: the Mishnah explains that some blemishes disqualify a kohen from the avodah in the Temple and an animal from the altar, while others (the animal-only list) don’t apply to a kohen. The Gemara discusses the kohen’s eye, face, and body defects.
