A Meaningful & Inspiring Learning Journey
As we begin the new Jewish year, we invite you to challenge yourself and complete a masechet with us.
The #SotahChallenge is a focused learning program tailored to your personal schedule, designed to help you finish masechet Sotah right at the end of 2026.
4 days a week – anytime, anywhere,
Starting Monday, October 12th 2026
at your own pace
Why Masechet Sotah?
- Masechet Sotah consists of 48 dapim, so by learning 4 dapim a week, we will finish right at the end of December 2026!
- Masechet Sotah dives into some of the most complex human dynamics in the Talmud: trust, suspicion, privacy, and public justice. Through its detailed examination of biblical procedures, the Gemara opens up broader discussions on relationship ethics, communal accountability, and human dignity.
- Whether you are looking to set a new personal learning goal or stepping into Talmud study for the very first time, this dedicated challenge offers a unique opportunity to explore how ancient texts address contemporary themes.
- Join a global community of women learning the masechet together.

How it Works:
- 🎧 4 Days a Week: Receive a clear, structured daily shiur (Monday–Thursday).
- ⏰ On Your Own Schedule: Learn whenever and wherever fits your lifestyle.
- 🌟 Supportive Community: Join a global network of encouraging fellow learners.
- 🎉 Finish & Celebrate: Complete a masechet with a real sense of accomplishment, and celebrate a meaningful siyum!
- 💙 Completely Free: No cost to participate.
- 👥 Open to Everyone: Women and men, beginners and advanced learners alike.
Start with just one day, one page – and surprise yourself with what you can achieve!
Note: The learning will be from Monday-Thursday. The weekend will be reserved to catch up or review at your convenience.

#SotahChallenge Q&A
🤔 What if this is my first time learning Talmud?
No worries! Rabbanit Michelle Farber’s shiurim are detailed and clearly explained 🎧✨
At first you may not understand every detail — and that’s totally fine.
We’re here to learn an overview of the daf. It’s a unique learning style that may feel different from anything you’ve done before.
📘 Do I need my own Gemara?
No. The shiur includes all necessary text.
But if you do have a Gemara for Sukkah, we recommend following along with it 🙌
⏰ What happens if I miss one day?
No stress! You can catch up the next day or over the weekend 🗓️💪
🎬 How long are the shiurim?
About the length of an average Netflix episode — around 45 minutes.
(And yes, you can speed it up if you like ⚡)
✨How do I make a Siyum?
We will complete the masechet in time for making a siyum for Shavuot!
Everything you need to know about making a siyum can be found here – https://hadran.org.il/what-is-a-siyum/
