Eruvin Daf 35: Three interpretation of the disagreement between the tana kama and Rebbi Eliezer in the mishna on daf 34 regarding the locked closet and the lost key:
- – מקלקל – the issue is breaking the closet. (This daf is important in the discussion of opening packages on shabbat – see the tosefot on the 34b).
- -אהל או כלי – Is the closet considered a building or a utensil.
- -מוקצה – Is it a moktza issue as the closet is locked and tied with a leather string and can only be opened with a knife whose purpose is to cut food.
The mishna on daf 35 then brings 4 cases of problematic issues regarding the eruv and the gemara explains each of the cases.
