Today on Daf 71 – we discuss the order of the pesukim in Vayikra 16 -22-28 and we start with a focus on pasuk 23 – is it in its place or out of order? Are all the pesukim after it out of order as well. The daf then goes on to look at the way people greet each other with a look at Hashem as not only the מחיה מתים but the מחיה חיים.
We have an interesting story of Shmaya and Avtalyon and the greeting they receive from the Kohen Gadol. The second mishna in the perek looks at how the clothing of the KG were made, with how many threads and how do we learn that out. The six threads and each time שש is mentioned what it comes to teach.
The coat, the pomegranates and a discussion on how we learn out the six threads. Can we learn from the פרוכת which has 24 threads but is not clothing? Best to learn from the pomegranates on the coat to the coat itself.
